Stone Cookware Pans

stone against metal?
I was cooking (bad like me) and my boyfriend moms just entered the room and told me it's not a good idea to have a hot pan in the oven with nothing on it because it deforms the metal. So I got into a conversation about why (although I already knew the answer the logic of its just always the first question I askautomatically) and told me that the stone will not deform like metal and stone making molds for cooking. So heres my question. What are the pros. and cons of the kitchen with a tray of metal or stone (besides cost). Would it be better to invest in a stone cookware set (I'll be 18 in a year so I have to start thinking about these things and get them, while still I have a full bank account or I can give as a gift idea.) So please if someone can give me advice, it would be useful. Thanks! PS I know that messing with recipes and cooking to do something creative, but it is not my choice career (which ispsychology) and yes there is such a thing as stone tools I looked it up ……
