Cast Iron with plastic fittings
Some people worry about plastic fittings on cookware, however if the pot or pan in question is designed to go in the oven then the plastic fittings will last for years.
Do not put pots and pans designed for the hob in the oven. They cannot take the higher temperatures and the plastic fittings are liable to melt.
