How I can remove baked on grease from aluminum pots?

I have been given and purchased several pieces of Guardian Service aluminum cookware. Some of my works have utensils bites and scratches on the inside of them. Others have years of baked / cooked in fat and sticky outside. Others are dark for who knows why. I'm trying to find the best way to clean and possibly refinish (or remove most scratches and bites) on the inside of my pots. I also would like to find the best way to clean grease and goo from the outside and restore gloss finish there before. The outside of my pots are what some call hammered aluminum finish. I'm not sure how to describe better the outside, but it looks like indentations on the surface. I tried cleaning with a brass bristle brush and steel wool. Do not remove any of the bites and scratches on the inside and very little of the sticky and fat on the outside. The bloodletting seem to fill with fat and sticky. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Could you provide tips on cleaning, but from the sounds of pots and stings I think you should do a search about the dangers of cooking with aluminum! I can use aluminum pots that are coated on the bottom. I think there have been health warnings about eating food cooked in the same. Please check before wasting time and shortening their life. ok, so I did a search and posted what I found, but there are plenty and not much it seems solid, I'll just what my mom told me … ?
