Cookware Bottoms
About my cookware and a flat top stove?
I just bought a new flat top stove before you start using it I know if my cookware is remains protected. I have hard-anodized pans that have ridges on the bottom circle (hope that makes sense) and I have actually read the stove should only be used with kitchen floor? Does anyone use pans with circles at the bottom with a flat top? Any opinions. Thanks in advance for any help. Tiffany
If your flat top is like mine cookware should not pose a threat to the top. You should not scratch the surface. The worst thing that I found on the top is using a Scotch-Brite pad or sink cleaner with pumice in it. Always use the counter cream to keep the glass clean clean. The glass top is fatigue over time or broken by the errant dropped the pot and must be replaced. This solution is very easy and costs less than $ 120.00 to do. I was using a gas stove before moving to this new home with a glass floor. The gas cooking much quicker. So my experience is that "feel" as it takes longer to cook. wok cooking is not as pleasant as the top does not heat up like gas and no heat is transferred to wok well. It is easier to clean, no doubt! Enjoy!
