220 is cheaper to use than 110?
Reason why I'm asking is that I have an Eden pure heater 1500 watts and it works really well, but is designed for 110 and the search in step converters some say do not use with heating appliances such as heaters and coffeemakers ETC: I have been looking for in step down / step up converters 110-220 E Bay at 2000 watts rated. I guess it's obvious I'm not just electricity but had always heard that it was cheaper use 220 to 110 hence the reason for the question.I thought using a transformer step back i would save on operating costs, my house is an old house and tours not take up much more than my 1500 watt Heater.So thanks so far for the great responses. I meant for my 110 points of sale will not let me run a lot more than my 1500 watts.
You pay for W / Hr.s used. Voltage does not count. ANY 'converter' will have losses, (extra watts / Hr.s used), so connect the heater in its nominal voltage.
