Clean the machine every few uses
You should give your coffee machine thorough cleaning at least periodically. Doing so will prevent the buildup of calcification, the deposits of lime or other and keep the machine running at full capacity.
Make a basic weekly cleaning by running a pot of water and vinegar or lemon juice and water through the machine once and then with a normal pot of pure water.
Then, once every few months or once a year, depending on the hardness of water is, get rid of deposits Minerals with a coffee descaler or decalcification solution.
Replace water filter
If your machine has a built-in coffee filter water, be sure to replace when necessary. A spot dirty water filter every coffee pot molds and harmful bacteria or deposit that has accumulated inside the unit filter. This precaution is not different from the changes that would in any other water filter – for example, your refrigerator.
Replace your filter
If you use a reusable metal or mesh filter, consider replacing it once a year. While metal filters or screen are designed to be washed and reused, waste grounds may well be trapped inside. This not only clogs the filter, but can also affect the overall flavor of your coffee.
