What makes a good cup of coffee?
Now I enjoy a drink or two here and there. After receiving a coffee machine and a Luxury coffee as wedding gifts, I think I wonder if I've been drinking coffee so-so for long. In your opinion, what makes a great cup of coffee? Are you special beans? Do you grind yourself? Do you insist on a particular method of preparation? I am interested in everyone's opinion on this subject, because I like to learn more about how to make a better cup-o-java. Thanks!
Freshness is an important factor, there is a place near me that is roasted fresh beans every day in the shop, also ground fresh and using them, if you can get fresh roasted beans, which are frozen. Grind as you use them. This seems obvious, but cleaning the coffee pot and often oils from the coffee club with great ease and contribute to bitterness. You'd be surprised how many people have seen that never clean their coffee. The type of grain it makes a difference, Kona is my favorite, but there are plenty of great coffee producing regions wonderful coffee grown. To a large pot of coffee using a drip Braun cone style paper filters Automatic natural, individual cups I have a French press, both good, but the French press makes coffee stronger and more robust, almost like an espresso.
