Coffee Maker Cleaning Solution
I cleaned my coffee maker with a chlorine solution. Am I going to die!?
I used a jug of water with a small amount of bleach run through it once … Then rinse with water 3 times, then ran through a solution of apple cider vinegar through it, then water twice, now I'm drinking coffee and I can not smell / chlorine taste, but I'm paranoid now … Will I be okay ?!?!?!???
If you drink tap water that consume more chlorine that could be left after a deep cleaning. You will be fine. No adverse effects whatsoever. The human body may take up to 8 ounces of bleach for a period of 24 hours without adverse effects. Nothing counseling, mind you, but just to know, do not worry about work. Added: Try hydrogen peroxide with time – not after and not smell great.
