Our Braun coffee served us well for over six years. Thousands of jars of coffee later, he could not work one morning and knew it was time to buy a new one. As we walked through the aisles of our local BJ's, we realized that Braun was not a trade mark used. However, our attention was drawn to a unique product they want, Hamilton Beach brew station 12 cup of coffee, and soon took him and brought him home.
What is so special about this particular product? N the jar! Yes, the coffee produced in the unit and then released into your cup clicking on the distributor, as the guy is in some coffee shops. The advantage is obvious: you can take a coffee in one hand and not worry about breaking the jar. An excellent idea!
This particular model has a standard size coffee filters and has a tray of internal heat to keep coffee hot. In fact, we think the unit maintains hot coffee that most units had in the past. For several days we enjoyed hot coffee, freshly made and believe we have made a wise decision on the purchase.
Our interest in the product was short-lived, however. One of the strangest features of the unit was the thrust of the double switch and brew button to get the unit started. Just double click the mouse on your computer to open a file, users must do the same to push the round button in front of the machine. No toggle on / off to deal with here!
Unfortunately, one recent morning switch does not work. Sure, the light came on, but the coffee was not dispensed. My wife and I redid the process at least a dozen times before that we realized that the machine would not work. The water was in the drive, the coffee was properly seated in the filter and the light switch was turned on. However, no coffee was brewing.
In short, Hamilton Beach brew station 12 cup of coffee is an excellent idea, but button is a bad idea. It would be better to replace the switch with something that works the first time and every time thereafter. Fortunately for us, were able to return the issue of BJ's in which he received a full refund in cash. Hamilton Beach has a great idea, but its engineering leaves much to be desired.
