Why homemade bread has a thick crust when done in a breadmaker?
I do not think that's the bread machine (Panasonic) as when using the mixture purchased at the grocery store to be perfect. I followed the recipe to the letter, but the crust is so thick that it is not edible.
It's too long to bake. Many bread machines allow custom programming, and offer the possibility to save these settings. You may have to experiment to it comes out right, and then save those settings for future use. If your brand does not offer this, you will need to control and stop the baking process manually.
