Breadmaker Heating Element

Is this a dying bread maker?
I can use my bread machine to dough cycle only. My breadmaker has been gray goo seeping into the bread dough for several weeks. And today, the bakery just did a terrible job of making bread – a kind of crust, not all the way mixed, and not rose to everyone. I appeared again, this time when I checked after about 10 minutes, the heating element was on, and I almost burned fingers on the handle. I unplugged everything, then tried again. Mixed, but continues to increase, so I tried a third time with additional watering of yeast. No place, and yeast is not mixed in bought the breadmaker about four years ago and have never had this problem before. The packaging is kind of out, so I think I have to buy a new breadpan at least. My husband thinks you should buy a new machine, but I hate to waste if the team is still good for mixing. Do you think you that the machine is a failure?
