Breadmaker Directions
Why did not my bread rise?
I have a breadmaker, and about half the time you make bread rise, then collapses. Am following the directions exactly, and put the yeast on top and start immediately. I've done about 20 times, so do not think it's nothing I'm doing wrong. I think what might be happening is that rises therefore forms a large bubble then collapses, but sometimes does not rise at all, sometimes rises high, then sink, and about half the time is perfect. nShould put less yeast, or what?
I use to use a bread machine and I had the same problem. Check the date of yeast that can be part of the problem.
