Panasonic Bread Maker Yeast
Automatic Bread Makers – Issues to Consider
Bread making machines are extremely popular these days and the fresh bread produced can easily equal or exceed shop/bakery standards.
Bread makers are also easy to use and it only takes five minutes to add dry ingredients and a little water, set the timers and just wait until the alarm goes off to tell you the bread is ready.
Most people set their bread baking machines to produce the bread in the early morning so that they come down to a delicious smell and fresh bread for breakfast.
There is a huge range of flours and yeasts available and it is easy to experiment and make up your own recipes once you are comfortable with how your machine operates.
Yeast is easily availble in a dry form in the baking section of most supermarkets. Buy in tubs rather than sachets for better value as it keeps well and if you bake regularly it will not deteriorate. Normally you do not have to dissolve yeast in warm water beforehand, it activates naturally as the bread making process continues.
Panasonic Bread Makers are one of the most popular brands. Well priced, generally under $150, they have a reputation for ease of use, reliability and durability. A good machine should last for years, with only the paddle requiring replacement when it has done a lot of hard work.
Other issues to consider are the programmes available with each machine (many make pizza and dough for rolls too), ease of cleaning (most use non-stick baking pots), capacity (some can make small, medium and large loaves) and whether to go for a single blade machine or dual blade bread baking machine. Single blades work perfectly well for most recipies and reasonable quantities of dough.
